We're pleased to announce a new public radio experiment from two of our senior fellows, Anne Stuhldreher and Douglas McGray.
Anne and Doug believe too many people with important experiences to share go unheard. So they decided to start seeking out these people, working with them to tell their own stories, and then submitting the pieces as public radio essays. The first three were recorded and produced by the KQED series Perspectives, and aired in Northern California during Morning Edition.

Have a listen, and check out portraits of each storyteller by illustrator Wendy MacNaughton, at My Life Is True. You can also follow along on Twitter or Facebook.
Anne works on a mix of policy, campaign, and journalism projects, and contributes to the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and NPR. Doug (@dougmcgray) contributes to the New Yorker, This American Life, and the New York Times Magazine, and is the editor-in-chief of Pop-Up Magazine.
They'd love to know what you think.
